End of Term Reward

July 6, 2015

These pupils from Stonehill School, are all heading to towards their new Secondary School in September 2015. Each will be taking with them a 'Dictionary4Life' donated by the Rotary Club of Letchworth Garden City.

In July 2015, we presented more than 120 free dictionaries to children in their final year of Junior School. The schools were Stonehill, The Grange and Wilbury.

The 'Dictionary4Life' scheme was started several years ago with just one school (Wilbury). In 2014 we presented the books to pupils at Wilbury and The Grange. Now that we have extended this to three Letchworth schools we hope to go even further in 2016 and include a fourth.

Each book is personalised with the pupil's name on a bookplate inside the cover.

It is more than a basic Dictionary; it is better regarded as an illustrated mini-encyclopedia.

* If you would like to nominate your school to be involved in this scheme, please contact
our Club Secretary Alan Goodwin Tel: 01462 680779.
