ANYONE FOR INDIA?
Wanted . . . local young business and professional people who would like to go on a month-long, expenses-paid trip to Southern India next January.
Each year, the East Anglia Rotary district sends four lucky people to study the economic and social life in another country.
It is many years since Letchworth had a representative which is something the local Garden City Rotary Club wants to change.
"We want to hear from anybody who would like to be nominated for the trip. We cannot guarantee a place but we would like to put some names forward. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn about another culture and to spread the word about the Garden City," said Peter Kirsch, the club's Foundation Committee Chairman.
Candidates have to be aged between 25 and 40 and must have worked in their business or profession for at least two years. The Rotary Foundation will pay for the air tickets and Rotarians in India will arrange all meals, accommodation and internal travel.
Anyone wanting more information can contact Peter on 01462 432392.
