Handover Meeting and President's Evening
29 June 2005

In a splendid evening of  good food and fellowship, Rotarians, partners and members of Inner Wheel celebrated their Handover Meeting and President's Evening all in one go!

Following an excellent meal, Rotarian Cliff Firth was presented with a Paul Harris Fellowship to celebrate his efforts for Rotary and the wider community over the past half century. This was followed by an impressive talk and demonstration by Liz Arendt from "Hearing Dogs for the Deaf" and her companion Ruffles. Outgoing President Roger Thomson presented Liz with a cheque for £350.00 (partly raised by Tim Jeeves' "Sausage Sunday" event and partly by Roger's donation as President) towards the charity.

Following this, Chains of office were passed from outgoing President Roger to incoming President Allan Patterson and from Allan to incoming Senior Vice President Roger Buckley.
