SUMMER ON BROADWAY!
| Saturday 3rd July saw Broadway Gardens transformed by an array of stalls and throngs of people, eager to see what was on offer. We offered publicity for Rotary, notably the use of "Shelter-boxes" and " Aquaboxes" in disaster areas. The early-morning team had some difficulty in erecting the Shelter tent in somewhat blustery conditions, but as the photographs show, success was achieved. Treasure hunts for adults and for children, together with a table-top "trail of coins" (around the world visiting past RI Convention cities) raised a total of £150 on the day. Special thanks are due to Brian Marshall and his team. Much interest was shown by the public in what Rotary is and does. |
