September saw the launch of a new charity fundraising initiative. Bob and Sue Hopcraft are opening their house and garden on the first Saturday of each month and providing a frugal lunch for visitors,  in return for donations to Rotary charitable funds. Despite the dreadful weather, the bulldog spirit showed through and twelve guests were provided with home made soup and bread, followed by fruit and tea or coffee.

The event raised almost £50 on this occasion and we hope that it will build up as the months go by.
